From the 1970's. Along with the Sony ST-A7B, considered one of the best and well designed analogue FM tuners ever made! It is a great sounding tuner, especially in wide on a strong signal. The CT-7000's features include a headphone output jack with level control, switchable muting with an adjustable threshold, and a signal meter that doubles as a multipath meter. The rear panel has fixed and variable audio outputs and multipath output jacks for an oscilloscope.
It features an analogue dial housed in an American Walnut wooden case with a hairline brushed aluminium front panel. Dual-gate MOS FET front end with a 7 gang tuning capacitor, PLL MPX decoder, ceramic block IF filter, low pass filter, auto hi-blend circuit, double FM muting circuit, two meters (signal strength/multipath, tuning), auto touch tuning, AFC station indicator, output level control.
