SPL = Small Plays Loud! Thanks to Velodyne, you don't have to sacrifice valuable floor space to add a first-class subwoofer to your system. The SPL-800II is so compact, you'll barely know it's there. And its elegant design and handsome finish make it a perfect addition to virtually any décor. But this sub isn't just about small size — it's about performance, too! The SPL-800II sports a phenomenal 1,000-watt amp for clean, muscular bass with exceptional detail and definition. John Potis of Soundstage remarked, "Not only was the little Velodyne the best small sub I ever used, it was one of the very best subs I've used."
In addition ot the 1,000-watt amp, Velodyne has outfitted the SPL-800II with an 8" Kevlar-reinforced resin woofer mounted in a rock-solid die-cast aluminum basket. Plus, their exclusive "Dynamic Driver Control System" assures linear cone movement for tight, accurate, musical bass. From the floor-shaking excitement of home theater to the delicate acoustic bass lines of a jazz quartet, the SPL-800II handles all of your low-frequency needs with extraordinary power and precision. The SPL-800II features flexible connectivity options, so it's easy to incorporate this sub into your existing system, whether for stereo music or home theater. You get line-level and speaker-level inputs, including a crossover bypass for 5.1 home theater bass precision. There's even a stereo line-level output with an 80 Hz high-pass crossover for use with a pre-amplifier.
