We now have a solution to the internal digital power supply that comes with the likes of the Mytek Brooklyn Dac+, the Lumin U1Mini and many more. We kind of think of those internal supplies as glorified wall warts. and do you really want your high end good sounding audio component powered by a wall wart ? Not us !
So we found a European designed, european built Linear power supply ! Imagine a large regulated external power supply, with a large toroidal transformer, heavy duty power regulating transistors with quality wiring, heavy duty, high current heavy pure copper traces on the current boards. The result as heard on our Brooklyn Dac+ was better everything, better bass, wider soundstage, smoother more extended less fatiguing hi's, etc etc. Best of all it's prices are very reasonable!
$399 for the Brooklyn Dac+ ( a super simple installation, there is 12V inlet on the back DONE ). $458 for the Lumin U1Mini (it also includes a replacement for the IEC power inlet, we recommend dealer installation for the inlet & removal of the internal power supply. Most voltages are covered form 5-24 Volts ! (mytek & lumin are 12V).
These power supplies will replace most any wall wart. This is an easy upgrade for anyone with a ProJect product, a Thorens table, etc!
