MC275
Vacuum Tube Power Amplifier
An
object of desire cherished by music lovers around
the world, the MC275 was designed and engineered in
1961 by McIntosh co-founder Sidney Corderman and the
McIntosh Engineering Team. Based upon the
extraordinary Unity Coupled Circuit, the MC275 has a
lush sound that presents a powerful and detailed
soundstage.

The MC275 develops 75 watts
per channel into 2, 4 or 8 ohm loads, or 150 watts
in bridged mono mode. Both balanced and single ended
inputs are supported. The mirror polished stainless
steel and black chassis with die cast nameplate is
presented here just as it was in the original 1961
model.

MC402
Stereo Power Amplifier

Continuing the McIntosh
tradition of innovation and exceptional performance,
the MC402 is rated to deliver a hefty 400 watts per
channel in stereo or 800 watts in mono. Its
extraordinary, distortion-canceling,
quad-differential design consists of four complete
amplifier circuits, whose outputs are combined in
the unique McIntosh-crafted autoformers. This
delivers absolute transparency and musical accuracy
into loads of 2, 4, or 8-Ohms.

NAD
C 545BEE Click Logo for Review CD Player
The C 545BEE replaces NAD’s venerable C 542. With
the worldwide acclaim and numerous awards for
outstanding performance and value, it is fair to ask
why NAD would “mess with success”. But NAD has never
rested on its laurels; rather development is ongoing
at the NAD Lab and new models are launched when we
feel a significant improvement has been achieved.
Such is the case with the C 545BEE. Besides the new
more refined cosmetics, the circuit layout and
component choices have been extensively updated. The
cumulative effect of these changes is dramatic,
improving low frequency slam and extension, while
maintaining the pace and timing for which the C 542
was so lavishly praised. Image depth and scale are
further enhanced while retaining the timbral
accuracy and lucid harmonic structure of its
predecessor.

NAD
C 375BEE
Stereo Integrated Amplifier
The C 375BEE is far more than a bigger C355BEE — in
fact, it is much closer in spec to the M3 Integrated
Amplifier from NAD’s high end Masters Series. It
also incorporates an updated version of NAD’s
“Building Block” concept to make the addition of the
PP375 phono module and other affordable future
upgrades possible. Attention to the most minute
detail is evident everywhere, from the heavy gauge
steel chassis to the sophisticated power supplies
and copper buss bars channeling almost absurd
amounts of current to the custom gold plated speaker
binding posts. The C 375BEE boasts many upgrades
and refinements taken directly from the highly
acclaimed NAD Masters Series M3 Amplifier. These
include application of Bjorn Erik Edvardsen’s
innovative and patented Distortion Canceling Circuit
in the output stage and BEE Clamp in the power
supply. An improved tone control circuit and revised
PCB layout has reduced distortion and noise to
unprecedented levels. Taken together, these
improvements mark a sharp upturn in performance that
simply must be heard, to be fully appreciated!

About the unique 2M design
2M is developed together with the Danish designer
"MøllerJensen Design" from Copenhagen, Denmark - the
same designer who designed the award winning
cartridge MC Jubilee and the Kontrapunktseries.
The inspiration for designing the 2M was related
to the facets of the diamond - elegantly
concentrating its contours against the grooves on
the record surface.
The name 2M was selected among several ideas. We
wanted a modernname which should be easy to
pronounce and to remember, and therefore an alpha
numerical name was chosen. 2M means MM, which is the
abbreviation for moving magnet.
We are using the same names on our 2M series as
we use at our Rondo series: Red, Blue and Bronze.
The 2M Black will become the flagship of 2M.
2M was the last product of our former chief
engineer Per Windfield. He has worked with the 2M
for the last two years.

Synchrony
Synchrony carries the traditional PSB virtues to new heights,
with seven models developed together and tonally matched to
unprecedented precision. In doing so Synchrony yields sonic
performance that pushes the boundaries of the possible, whether
judged by way of close technical analysis or by rigorous subjective
evaluation.
Yet Synchrony delivers something more: a measure of visual elegance
and luxurious finish unprecedented in such thoroughly engineered,
advanced-performance loudspeakers. As a result, the seven elegant,
small-footprint Synchrony models integrate quietly into today’s most
sophisticated listening rooms and home theaters.
