Incorporates a QS Synthesizer circuit to reorganize conventional 2-channel stereo signals and create a 4-channel sound field.
The built-in QS regular matrix system 4-channel decoder decodes 4-channel records and tapes encoded with the QS system, and their broadcasts, to reproduce them as a perfect 4-channel sound field.
The built-in Phase Matrix circuit, featuring Sansui's own front-back logic, decodes records and tapes encoded with the CBS SQ system to reproduce them in 4-channel stereo.
Offers 4-channel AUX inputs, to which you can connect a discrete 4-channel record demodulator to reproduce discrete 4- channel records.
The unique BTL switch bridges the four power amplifiers in the QA-7000 into two higher-power amplifiers in 2-channel stereo usage. If desired, external power amplifiers may then be added to them to create a higher power 4-channel amplifier system.
The preamplifier and power amplifier sections can be separated for independent usage by disconnecting the connectors. Then, they may be employed with a different preamplifier or power amplifier, or even upgraded into a electronic crossover system.
Offers two 4-channel tape record playback circuits and one 2-channel tape record/ playback circuit, with tape-to-tape reprint (dubbing) facilities.
Signals from discrete 4- channel sources, 4-channel signals converted from 2-channel sources by the QS Synthesizer, and those decoded by the QS regular matrix system decoder or the Phase Matrix circuit, can all be recorded into a tape with simple operations of appropriate switches .
The front channel portion of each 4-channel input circuit can be utilized like a regular 2-channel input circuit.
Any 2-channel program source component, or the front-channel portion of any 4-channel component can be operated with the QA-7000 for normal 2-channel stereo sound or QS-synthesized 4-channel stereo sound.
