The McIntosh 4100 receiver is a strange McIntosh product: it's design has always had a love/hate quality to it. The plastic switches and the vinyl veneer were a bit of a departure for McIntosh - most likely, an attempt to bring their high quality products to a mid-priced market. The build quality is excellent though. It is able to produce a very conservative 75 WPC into 8 ohms and sounds specatcular doing it. While it is a little different in terms of McIntosh equipment, we dig the design. This one has been carefully inspected and serviced by our technician.
